Year 4 and 5 pupils are taking part in the CRESST Young Peacemaker’s Project next week, involving a series of workshops on conflict resolution – the purpose being to equip our children with the tools to handle low level conflict effectively. There is a parent drop-in on Wednesday lunchtime (see the letter below – although only parents from Y4 and 5 will receive the letter, if you have a child in a different year, but would like to come to find out more about the project, please contact the office on Monday or Tuesday).  Year 5 pupils will also be encouraged to apply to become peer mentors, and those selected will then receive extra training in how to facilitate conflict resolution between others. If you can’t come, but would like to know more, or you have questions, there is lots of information on CRESST’s website (http://cresst.org.uk/primary-schools/), or contact the school.
